Dec 2nd and 3rd

Dec 2nd,
More awesome weather temperatures in the low 80’s just cannot get over the warm sunny days here, we attended the Information Session Tuesday morning and as usual, Jim and Annie shared some very interesting facts about Cochise County. Places to see within the area which is so helpful to us, he and wife Annie have lived in this area for years and are avid historians. They know the good out of the way places to eat, the road conditions, some roads are not passable without a good sturdy 4 x 4 and protocol when driving on a primitive one lane trail in the mountains, where and when to be aware of desert creatures, the local birds, and the best places to view them etc. This is great information to all who are first time visitors to the area, we feel privileged to have such knowledgeable Activity Coordinators on staff here at the park.

Dec 3rd

We travelled to Sierra Vista today taking Cookie for her first appointment with the groomer here. We found out that it would be about 4 hours before we could pick her up so we decided hang around the city and check out some of the stores. We are still finding our way around when it comes to shopping and Sierra Vista provides a large choice with the big box stores as well as many small interesting little shops. We spent time checking out different grocery stores for things like good meat, some clothing stores and just plain stuff. One thing about shopping when living in a fifth wheel we need to shop more often for groceries, the fridge only holds so much and if we look at “stuff” the question is do we really need it and where will we store it, hang it or set it up but it is still to look! When checking out one of the dollar stores, we captured these pictures, just love the mountains in this area.

The view from the parking lot at the dollar store, gotta love it!

A valley off the parking lot! The grey mountians in the front (little pointed ones) were created from Volcanic action many thousands of years ago.

Looking in a different direction from the same spot.

We picked up Cookie, she looked so different with short hair, she was very happy to see us, the groomer assured us that she behaved very well. That was good to hear as this was her first whole body trim. She really needed a trim but we had a 4week wait for an appointment.
All trimmed up, she looks like a different dog and her head looks too big for her body, but is still a baby! When we arrived home she and Oreo greeted each other like they had not seen each other in years! The are such good Buds.
