Day 2 of Richard's visit, Updated June 6th

Dave, Richard, and Woody headed out turkey hunting, hopeful that today would be the day to bag a Tom. A nice Tom answered Dave’s calls but once again, the smart ole Tom would not present Woody with a shot.

Richard's pictures and story of the Turkey hunt, thanks Richard for the pics and notes for each picture.

Best friends, Dave and Woody

The Maryland turkey field, where we parked the truck, 5 different birds responded to locator calls, at 5:45 am.

Woody: Here you are, waiting for the longbeard to arrive to Dave's calling

Woody; Ready for the big bird to come in !

An exciting morning in Maryland turkey hunting with Dave and HH in Pa.

Woody: Looking at Richard,
"where did the big bird go ?

Paturbo aka Dave calling the turkey's in Maryland for Woody

Woody; Here you and Dave are having a strategy talk, " Where the heck did he go ?

Woody and Dave: We did not get a turkey but what we did get, was a wonderful time with good friends and great memories. HH in Pa
On the way home, the boys stopped for lunch at the same little restaurant in Flintstone, MD we had eaten our dinner yesterday, Richard’s treat.

Dave, Richard and Woody passed the afternoon shooting their bows, and visiting, I mostly listened and took a few pictures.

Richard said it had been a long while since he had shot his bow, not to shabby though, he hit the target from 63 yards!

Woody practicing with his new toy!

Hey guys, look, I am improving!

Not a bad grouping eh!

The fun continued until Richard had to leave for home around 5:00 pm, well after completing his packing we did have a look at the incredible books he had of the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone Park and saying our final goodbyes, it was about 6:30 or later when he left to make the 4-hour trip home.

Thank you very much Richard for making the trip to visit all of us here and thank you Randi and Dave for your gracious hospitality, .giving Richard a room for the night.
